■ 作品解説

この作品は、北陸中学校・高等学校吹奏楽部の委嘱により作曲され、2013年3月24日、同吹奏楽部第10回記念定期演奏会にて初演されました。その後、2013年4月7日にJWECC 2013 MIDにて同吹奏楽部により再演されました。

ファンファーレとして作曲された作品で、春の澄んだ青空を祝福するかのように音楽が進んでいきます。新たな日々の始まりを予感させるような、躍動感のある軽快なリズムに乗り、これから進む道を明るく照らしていくような音楽です。

タイトルの「青空に向かって」は、作品から受けた印象をもとに、初演を担当した学生の皆さんにタイトル案を考えていただき、その中から決定しました。

■ Program Note

This work was commissioned by the Hokuriku Junior and Senior High School Wind Band and premiered on March 24, 2013, at the ensemble's 10th Anniversary Regular Concert. It was performed again by the same ensemble at JWECC 2013 MID on April 7, 2013.

Although composed as a fanfare, the music unfolds as if celebrating the clear blue sky of spring. With lively, energetic rhythms suggesting the beginning of a new chapter, the music looks toward the future with a bright and uplifting spirit.

The title, "Into the Blue Sky," was chosen from ideas proposed by the students who gave the premiere, based on the impressions they received from the music.
